1985 April 15

On April 15, Section 15: Equality Rights is added to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.1 Section 15 addresses that every person in Canada possess the same rights, including those with physical and/or mental disabilities.2 The act bans discrimination against a person due to their physical or mental disability, and requires federally regulated employers to prevent such and provide documentation to back this up.3
