Canada began consultation to ratify the Optional Protocol of the UN’s Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). 1 If the protocol were to be ratified, it would give Canadians with disabilities the opportunity to “file disability rights complaints with the United Nations”.2
