In June it was announced that an intrusive and embarrassing testing process, called the Supports Intensity Scale (SIS) had been dropped from PDD criteria.1 The SIS often lasted about 3 hours and included what Leah McRorie, a disability advocate and mother of two women with disabilities, described as “the most intrusive, embarrassing and awkward questioning you can imagine”.2
