A group of vocational service operators established the Alberta Association of Rehabilitation Centers, AARC, (called The Alberta Council of Disability Services, ACDS, since 2006).1 In 1973, AARC began operating as a non-profit led by a volunteer Board of Directors.2 The organization runs training programs for people who work in the disability field, among other inclusion initiatives across Alberta.3
